“I’m Scott’s new boxer, Reign.  I’m a special dog. I work as Scott’s eyes.  For I am a GUIDE DOG,  I came from

PILOT DOGS inc. here in town, that means I work with Scott, I walk side by side with him and steer him around

obstacles that he can’t see like poles, trash cans, and fire hydrants.   I also stop at curbs and stairs.  Keeping

him safe and out  of danger is very important to me.  That’s why, when I’m wearing  my special harness It’s 

best not to pet me or even speak  to me.  That can distract me from doing my job effectively.   I have to

concentrate when I’m working.   I’ll be hanging around the office and I just wanted to introduce myself.”

 “Here’s how I look in my harness.  It has a long handle that ges down my back, for Scott to hold on to so he can better feel when I turn or stop.    When I walk around things on the sidewalk or stop at the corner, because of my  harness, Scott, can feel every movement I make.  We work as a team.”

“When I’m out of harness I’m just like any other dog.  I love to run and romp around and play.”
