By properly cycling between several phases of exercise, it aids the body's advancement toward goals and helps to prevent overtraining.

 

  Scott's philosophy on exercise:

Anything is better then nothing at all. To paraphrase Remember a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. SO MOVE YOUR BUTT!!!

 

“Weight Issues” 

No matter if your talking about your  physical weight on the scale, or the amount of weight you can lift or not lift: 

         IT IS ONLY A NUMBER! 

Don’t get caught up comparing  or sizing up other people at the gym.  If someone else can lift  more weight then you can,  maybe they have more experience performing that particular  exercise.  Or maybe, they are not using proper form and controlling  the weight.  If they throw the weight around it is easier and may look impressive but it is DANGEROUS AND CAN CAUSE LONG TERM DAMAGE TO THEIR BODY.

 

Carbs aren't bad!

* You need them for energy. 

* Dietary fiber comes from carbs. (you need them)

* If you consume too much protein in your diet, it is hard to digest and your kidneys have to work extra to help remove the added toxins from the protein. 

 

Don't be scared of CARDIO TRAINING...

You don't have to get bored on the bike, elliptical, or treadmill, to get your cardio training in.  If you want to that's great, but you can also get your cardio done at the same time your weight training.  Simply take shorter rest periods in between each set.  Keep your heart rate in your target zone while your working out with resistance training. 

THAT WAY YOU CAN KILL TWO BIRDS WITH ONE STONE!!!

 

 

THE BOTTOM LINE IS:

 FIND SOMETHING THAT YOU ENJOY DOING.  IF YOU DON'T ENJOY IT, YOU WON'T STICK WITH IT. 

 

 

OH YEAH, AND DON'T FORGET:
